Man with machete threatens police officers with death, is incapacitated with a taser
Police officers were forced to use a taser to subdue a 29-year-old man who was threatening them with a machete.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening in the town of Neustadt an der Weinstraße in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
According to police, the man was acting erratically and had threatened several people with the machete before officers arrived on the scene.
When officers approached the man, he refused to drop the machete and threatened them with death.
The officers used a taser to subdue the man, who was then taken into custody.
No one was injured in the incident.
The man is currently being held in custody and will undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
The police are investigating the incident.
