In Oman, the heavy rains triggered flash floods, leading to the tragic loss of life. Authorities are still assessing the full extent of the damage and providing assistance to affected areas.

In Dubai, the rain reached unprecedented levels, with more than 142 millimeters (5.59 inches) falling in just 24 hours on Tuesday. This amount surpasses the average yearly rainfall of 37.3 inches, indicating the severity of the downpour.

The torrential rain transformed roads into roaring rivers, inundating homes and businesses. The flooding caused major traffic delays and briefly halted operations at Dubai International Airport.
